Ashley has managed a very successful private practice for over 16 years. She represents clients in a variety of cases, in all Courts in the Circuit, including the District, Circuit, and Family Court.
Following her graduation from law school, Ashley was employed as a staff attorney for the Family Court in the 12th Judicial Circuit before going into private practice. Ashley has served as the President, Vice President, and Treasurer for the 12th Judicial Circuit Bar Association. She is appointed by the Court to represent children as a Guardian ad Litem and as a Friend of the Court in Oldham, Trimble, and Henry counties. Ashley is also appointed to represent children by the Jefferson County Family Court. She has been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. Ashley is a member of the Louisville Bar Association, the 12th Judicial Circuit Bar Association, and the Kentucky Bar Association. Ashley lives with her children and husband, Joe Wells, in Oldham County. Joe is also a prominent attorney in the 12th Judicial Circuit with James & Wells, PSC, a law firm with with offices located in La Grange and Carrollton. Ashley is proud to raise her children in Oldham County and is very active in the community. She coaches field hockey for North Oldham Middle School and she and her family spend their free time either playing, coaching, or cheering at numerous sporting events. Ashley's family has been a part of the Oldham County community for over 40 years, since her father, Dr. Doug Ahrens, opened Ahrens Orthodontics in 1980 in Crestwood. Her brother, Dr. Gerry Ahrens, currently runs the family practice. Ashley has committed her professional career to serving the communities of Oldham, Henry, and Trimble Counties, and with your support looks forward to serving in a new capacity as District Court Judge. |
